Professional Excellence
Born and raised in Port Elizabeth, her medical career began at the University of Cape Town where she obtained her MBChB in 2008. She then returned to Port Elizabeth to complete her internship and community service years, as well as some time there as a medical officer. It was during her internship that she discovered her love for paediatrics, and that resulted in her completing her community service and medical officer years in paediatrics. During that time, she obtained her Diploma in Child Health through the Colleges of Medicine (South Africa). She then relocated to Cape Town and worked at Tygerberg Hospital in the paediatrics department for an additional 4 years. She has more than 16 years experience in the medical profession and recently joined private practice as a general practitioner in Cape Town, Western Cape.
Her career in private practice started in 2015, as a general practitioner working at a group practice. There she obtained invaluable experience in family medicine, and realized an additional interest in women’s health and travel medicine. In 2018, she obtained a certificate in travel medicine through the South African Society of Travel Medicine and she is therefore licensed to administer Yellow Fever vaccinations to travelers.
Outside of medicine, she is married and a proud mother of two boys. They inspired her move to Tokai and continue to shape her compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
As a medical practitioner, she is committed to delivering holistic healthcare that embraces the physical, mental, and social well‑being of every patient.
